The neighborhood is invited to a reception and buffet lunch at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Palm House, honoring longtime community gardener Martin Sticht. Known as a humble and frugal gardener, Martin left behind an estate supporting parks, education, health, civil rights, and humanitarian causes, including the Fresh Air Fund, the Police Athletic League, and of course the Hoyt Street Community Garden.
